Wall Talk Podcast
"WIDL Wall Talk" is a podcast, started in 2020 and hosted by student Matthew Hatch, with guests from the Wasatch Independent Debate League. Members of the league can sign up at the beginning of the year to be a guest on the show. Every week, guests are interviewed on their thoughts about recent current events. The goal of the podcast is to let members of the league voice their opinions to a broad audience. Apparently it has worked. The podcast's listenership has come from all across the country, and even internationally, with listeners in the UK, Spain, France, and the Philippines. The podcast can be listened to on Google Podcasts, spotify, Pandora, Amazon Music/Podcasts, and soon on Apple Podcasts.
Sign ups are now open to be on WIDL Wall Talk!! Wall Talk is a podcast hosted by Matthew Hatch, a member of the student council. The podcast gives students the opportunity to give their opinions on current events to a wide audience. How wide? Last year, Wall Talk had listeners all over the US and beyond, with listeners in the United Kingdom, Spain, Bolivia, and more! While all students are invited and encouraged to sign up, priority will be given to elite students. However, that shouldn't stop you from signing up, as the chances are high that there will be slots open for beginning students. After sign ups have closed, you will be assigned a week and group. The questions will be sent out a week before your group interview, which should give you time to research. Episodes are recorded weekly in groups of 3 over zoom (NOT in person) every Saturday. Students in the past have had a lot of fun and have highly recommended it to their friends. If you'd like to sign up, use the following link: https://forms.gle/rigjBxLr4GfER63W8. Sign ups will only be open until October 18, so sign up soon. If you want to have a ton of fun and tell a large audience how you feel, this is your opportunity! Hope to see you soon!!
