Model United Nations
What is Model United Nations?
Model United Nations is a foreign policy and diplomacy simulation where students (grades 9-12) represent a country, work with other students, and help draft resolutions that address the world's issues. Students write a policy paper to explain their represented country's position on certain topics.
How Do I Participate?
You will be assigned a country, a committee, and a delegate partner. You can select your top 7 picks for a country to represent from a list when you register. In addition, If you have a request for a partner you can put their name down when you register.
Registration is $25/ student.
You will write a policy paper with your partner from the viewpoint of the country you are assigned. An online training and more information on how to write a policy paper will be provided.
The conference will be held at the University of Utah Tuesday, April 19th. The exact times for the conference haven’t been released yet, but the conference will start in the morning and extend into the early evening. Students will be responsible for providing their own transportation to and from the conference.
